About Me

My name is Brittany Ferrara, BSN, RN. I have spent the last three years working in an emergency room specializing in behavioral health. During my time in the ER, I’ve had the privilege of caring for individuals in acute mental health crises—helping them feel safe, heard, and as comfortable as possible during incredibly vulnerable moments. I chose to specialize in mental health because I believe in the  power of compassion, presence, and advocacy. Supporting people through their most challenging experiences has taught me the importance of dignity, patience, and genuine human connection. This is a field where I feel I can make a meaningful difference every day.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Minor in Psychology

  • Institution: The University of Texas at Tyler

  • Graduation: August 2022

Personal Statement

My approach to care is grounded in empathy and active listening, ensuring that every person I care for feels heard and respected. I work hard to create a safe environment where individuals feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgement. I believe in empowering individuals by involving them in decisions about their treatment, offering clear communication, and providing interventions tailored to their needs. My goal is to help each person build confidence, develop coping skills, and ensure my patients feel supported every step of the way.
