Personal Statement

As a growing clinician who has a License Masters of Social Work, I still continue to run towards my goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker while in supervision to encourage continuous growth, learning and understanding of mental health. I have spent time in my career working as a qualified mental health professional, inpatient therapy, and group therapy. I have experience providing psychosocial interventions, assessments, and group therapy to provide at a high quality for clients seeking mental health services.

I continue to grow by studying the practice of Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma informed care and in the future become certified in Trauma based therapies. I continue to grow to better serve the population who seek a better understanding and willingness to receive mental health services. I have a great empathy for people and want to be the helping hand that guides them to a greater understanding of their mental health. I believe that every human being has the right to self-determination, the space to heal, and the support system for mental health.

Call to Action

I value empathy, kindness, open-mindedness and respect of the individual. I want to walk along with people to watch them grow. I want to be the clinician that I hope that my mother and sisters could have to help them grow, learn and adopt values that are kind and respectful to themselves. I am determined to create a space in life where my daughter can know that she feels safe from stigma and that mental health is just as important as our physical health.
