Personal Statement

As a counselor, I have worked with adolescents, adults, groups, and couples in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have experience with clients seeking counseling related to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, mood disorders, substance abuse, psychosis, and crisis.

As a clinician, I utilize CBT to decrease negative thoughts and increase target behaviors. I use a DBT informed approach to teach clients how to regulate emotions and improve interpersonal skills. I often focus on teaching mindfulness meditation and breathing exercises to increase resilience.

I’m driven by the possibility of assisting clients in making desired changes in their lives. I believe in meeting clients where they’re at and helping clients understand that acknowledging the present can help change the future.
