About Me

I have a passion for helping others. In addition, I believe that I have a gift that allows people to feel comfortable being vulnerable with me in which allows me to help them navigate through this thing we call life. I like to use several approaches such as CBT, Narrative therapy, family system therapy, emotionally focused therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and existential therapy.

Personal Statement

 I believe in serving the whole person, mind and body. If the mind, body, and soul are in alignment. I believe a person can be at the happiest place in life. In addition, I believe that counseling face-to-face is the first thing for a person to try. Then maybe add medications if necessary. However, using both counseling and medication has the best results. CBT is my number one method of choice. CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life. CBT helps people with depression, anxiety, marital problems and several other mental illnesses. In addition, it helps people learn how to manage their thoughts, feelings, and actions/behavior.

Moreover, it helps people learn how to deal with irrational thoughts and helps them get to more rational thoughts. Case conceptualization is very important to me as well. Understanding and interpreting client issues. In addition, it helps clinicians develop a good treatment plan with goals, objectives, and interventions. Narrative therapy is important. Problems can become how people see and identify themselves. Narrative therapy separates the person’s problem from their identity which is very helpful to clients.
